SkyWaltz Balloon Safari is India’s first fully licensed and Government approved commercial Hot Air Balloon operation.

In January 2008, SkyWaltz received official authorisation from the Ministry of Civil Aviation to conduct Hot Air Balloon activities across India. For a period of over two years prior to this, Sky Waltz’s Directors, in consultation with international Ballooning consultants, worked tirelessly with the Ministry of Civil Aviation to establish internationally recognised regulations and guidelines for the establishment of commercial Hot Air Ballooning in India.

The Sky Waltz team consists of highly experienced, internationally licensed pilots from Europe, the USA, Australia, Canada, India and the UK, along with professionally trained operational and technical staff. Globally recognised standards of safety along with international operating procedures have been implemented from the outset.

PILOTS

Francisco Castillo

Born in Madrid, he received his commercial Balloon Pilot License when he was 23 years old. Francisco holds licenses’ in Spain, Canada, Turkey, India and the United States. He has over 3,000 hours flying both conventional and special shaped balloons.

Wout Bakker

Wout has been a part of the SkyWaltz team for the past 3 seasons. Aviation is in his blood. Having been in the Dutch Air Force for many years before becoming a hot air balloon pilot. Wout not only flies hot air balloons, he has also trained many pilots.

Andrew Gregory

Andrew has been a professional Balloon Pilot since 1994 and is also a qualified instructor pilot. From England, Andrew has flown for a number of commercial Balloon operations around the world, and most recently with Bill Harrop’s Balloon Company in South Africa.

Nitesh Pareek

From Jaipur, Nitesh is one of a very few Internationally trained and licensed Indian Hot Air Balloon Pilots. Nitesh has been working in the Hot Air Ballooning industry since 2008 and has now become a fully qualified commercial Hot Air Balloon Pilot.
