The main flying season is from mid September to the end of March.
There is no “best time” to fly. We will only fly when the weather is suitable and between September to March, the weather is very Ballooning - friendly in most parts of Rajasthan.
Balloon flights usually take place within two hours of dawn and around two hours before dusk, as this is when the winds are most stable. Times do vary throughout the year but basically the meeting times are around 5.30 am and 4:00 pm.
We shall pick you up from your hotel/residence and take you to the launch site. Driving you back to your hotel/residence after the flight shall also be taken care by us.
Ballooning is an experience and not to be rushed through. One should allocate approximately 3 to 4 hours for the whole experience, wherein the actual time in the air is approximately one hour.
Ballooning is very weather dependent. You will be informed if the weather is unsuitable. If so is the case, you simply re-book for another convenient day. Alternatively, you will receive full refund of your booking amount.
Standing in a hot air balloon doesn't feel the same as standing on the edge of a cliff or being in an aircraft - you float gently along with the breeze so there's no sensation of movement. The balloon does not so much as leave the ground as the ground leaves the balloon! You shall feel no acceleration or movement as you do in a lift oran aircraft. We float gently along with the wind; ballooning is a calm experience.
A balloon flies at different heights up to 5,000 feet. Our highly skilled pilots are experts at skimming the treetops and controlling the altitude of the balloon for the best visual experience.
On a standard flight you will join a group of 4 to 8 people depending upon the balloon that you are flying in. For your comfort, the balloon baskets are divided into compartments.
There is no upper age limit, passengers must be able to stand for atleast one hour. Children must be at least 6 years of age and 1.5 m tall (to see over the sides of basket).
You will be unable to take a balloon flight if you are pregnant.
If you have a disability, medical condition or have recently undergone a surgery, it's best to check with your doctor to ensure you're fit to fly. However, we're unable to fly anyone who is confined to a wheelchair. It is very important that you disclose any medical or physical condition that could be considered to affect your safety or the safety of others. You must not fly if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. |
