Hampi Festival
Organized by Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, this festival includes dance, drama, music, fireworks, spectacular processions et al, recreating the grandeur of a bygone era. The magnificent ruined city of Hampi, once the capital of the Vijayanagar Empire, (one of the greatest empires in the history of India) comes alive during the lively festival. It is one of the most mesmerizing historical sites in South India and is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. |
